Necklace Keeper

I LOOOOVE watching DulceCandy87's youtube videos and reading her blog. She has a bedroom/closet to die for and she always does hauls with the cutest clothing and fashion accessories. Soooo, Candy has a wall full of necklaces which is what inspired my idea to create something similar.

I had an old bulletin board that I had spray painted the borders yellow. I took an old magazine out and tore out pages that I thought were colorful and had cool images. I tore the pages into small pieces. I used Mod Podge to adhear the small pieces of paper on to the border. Once I was done glueing the pieces on the border, I went over the border one more time with a coat of Mod Podge to seal the paper.

I then took clear thumbtacks and placed them about 2.5 inches apart, creating two rows.

Below is my finished piece.

November Shoedazzle Selection - Raven

I got my shoes in the mail about a week and a half ago. I absolutely looooove my new shoes! Now all I need to do is break them in a little and I am good to go!

Tip:
I found an awesome video on youtube which suggests you fill a ziplock baggie about 1/4 full and put the baggie into the toe of your shoe and freeze them in the freezer (in order to stretch your shoe out and spare you the pain of breaking the shoes in with your feet). I totally have to try this out!

Latest haul; long overdue!

My budget has been tight lately, but I FINALLY got to make a trip to MAC for a quick purchase...which, like always, was much more than I had planned!!

Studio Sculpt Concealer in: NC25 - I like, I like! This covers dark circles under my eyes and those pesky red spots on my face.

Plush Lash Mascara in: Plushblack - Provides volume without stickiness or clumps....AND doesn't flake midday. ;-)
Penultimate Eyeliner in: Rapidblack - Love this liquid eyeliner. It doesn't flake off, it's easy to apply and doesn't smear.

Pro Eye Makeup Remover - LOVE this stuff. I rids me of raccoon eyes in seconds!
Technakhol Liner in: Graphblack - Nice and dark black that STAYS put after application.

Blush: in Margin - Very pretty peachy look.

ES in: Paradisco, Gorgeous Gold, Satin Taupe, and Contrast

New Hair Do

I am such a slacker...I was supposed to post this two weeks ago, but somehow got distracted by this thing called life.

Anyhoo, my little sister cut my hair for me and added some new peek-a-boos. Check, check, check it out!

May Haul

Yay!I finally came up with some money to feed my makeup habit. A new Sephora opened upstairs from the MAC store that I often frequent. I love it, but it is definitely bad news for my wallet! It seems that now matter how often or how much I spend on my makeup, I can never get enough! Do you have the same problem?
Baby Sparks Dazzleglass, Love Nectar Lustreglass, Delish LS and Cherish LS.
Eyeshadows: Naked Lunch, Rice Paper, Sketch and Rule
I saw this collection advertised in this month's Sephora magazine and just had to have it! Too Faced Mermaid's Treasure Beauty Collection includes: Sun Bunny Bronzing Powder, Mini Lash Injection Mascara, Lip Bronzer Gloss, and a Flatbuki brush.

So Light Blue by Dolce & Gabanna is Sephora's #1 selling perfume. I am a sucker for "top sellers", so of course this is a perfume that I have been wanting for quite some time. It smells fresh with a hint of musk. I love it!!

Revlon Color Stay Foundation

So everyone keeps ranting and raving about the Revlon Color Stay foundation. Of course, I was intrigued and had to try it out for myself. Well I have officially jumped on the band wagon! I have been using MAC Minderalize foundation and was considering picking up some MAC Studio Fix foundation (I wanted to try something with a little more coverage). I bought the foundation in Natural Tan for "Combination/Oily Skin".

(picture with no flash)
I was really impressed how even it went on, and the coverage was just right: it wasn't too thick, yet it really toned down my freckles. It seems as though it minimized the look of my pores and by midday my face still looked fresh. I only had to do some minor touching up (powder my T zone). As well as this foundation works, I don't think I will need to pick up a bottle of the Studio Fix foundation afterall...

(picture with natural lighting)

...and get this. I went back to my local Walgreens with my mom and found the foundation on sale: buy one get one free! I bought a bottle for my mom and one for myself; one slightly darker than the one that I already have: Early tan. This is for when I start to get my tan on.

(picture with direct natural lighting...don't know why so shiny, it doesn't look like that in person)

Chi Infra Shampoo and Treatment

I wanted to do a quick review on the Chi Infra Shampoo and Chi Infra Treatment (conditioner). I have been using this product for a week now and I am really satisfied with the way it leaves my hair. After washing and styling, my hair is shiny, smooth and doesn't feel weighed down (see the picture below). You know how your hair feels after you have it washed and cut? That is how my hair feels!
The only downside to this product is that the bottle is on the small side...considering that it runs about $13 a bottle. I have looked around online and have found it at cheaper prices. But then you have to tack on shipping and handling...Oh well, I definitely plan on sticking with this product for a while.

I had to share this pic...it is my new favorite.
"Watch the hair, dude!"

Rocco fell off the bed the other week :( I totally freaked out...and so did he! He recovered like a champ. Check out his little rug burn on his nose...

Shoedazzle: A Must for All Shoe Lovers!

My first pair of shoes arrived yesterday in the mail. The shoes were as sexy as they were in the picture, and most importantly, they are comfortable! I must admit, I was also very impressed with the packaging. The shoe box came in a separate shipping box, which left the actual shoe box undamaged. The shoes were wrapped in pretty purple tissue, and a nice pink shoe bag was provided for storing the shoes.

ALSO included was a beautiful burgundy pashmina scarf. This was a free gift for joining Shoedazzle!

I Love Shoes!

I am happy to announce that I just joined shoedazzle.com. You ask, "what is shoedazzle.com?". Here’s how it works, shoppers take a survey to determine their style and Kim and her fashion experts give them a choice of five shoes each month, with each pair costing $39...free shipping and handling! Isn't that awesome?!

I am excited to receive my first pair of shoes: Henna.

Hello Kitty look using 88 E/S Palette

Aubrey (a.k.a. Fafinettex3; one of my fave beauty gurus) did a tutorial on youtube on how to achieve this really pretty purple-pink look (try saying that 5 times fast!). Matched with a purple shirt, my eyes look wonderful! I think I could have achieved a slightly better look, but I was in a hurry to get to work (I am ALWAYS running late!), but I am still pleased with the results.
